Exploring new options to my current Blogger website, but I am honestly kind of used to using that instead, and I spent too much time setting up that and decorating that so I grew attached to it. It’s always nice to have an alternative, though it might make my posts scattered.
I tried to move my dream log here, because my current writefreely one was not selfhosted and there were increasing downtime from the host. But somehow it was impossible to batch import .md or .txt files automatically for free. I spend hours finding different solutions and workarounds including importing json and csv instead but they don’t work. This is kind of stupid so I gave up.
For the dream log, I was planning to add a mind map like those obsidian graphs, so I might use foam or quartz or digital garden to build it. Most likely quartz, since it seems there is a function to display posts by time posted rather than typical notes. It would be a gigantic hassle. (Probably less when now AI is smarter. I rawdogged that Blogger and writefreely custom css back then. Troubleshooted until I learnt about the !important tag. It wasn’t a pleasant experience.)
